Premium Review Amateur Gardening: Nicer without Charlie (357 words)

I have been getting AG since 1973 when I got my first very own garden I could do with as I pleased. This was in the days when Percy Thrower was king and things in the garden were done by the book. I have seen a lot of changes in the format and content of the magazine, and the price. We certainly get more freebies now than we used to and where we would then get a pack of six peat pots or a dozen plastic plant labels now it is all free seeds sometimes three or more packs at a time so,sometimes if you work out the cost of the seeds we are getting the book free.Just in April we have received,Nastursiums,Nicotiana,Cerinthe(a perennial which will come back each ...  Read the complete review

Amateur Gardening looks like it might be a bit on the boring side, as it's not as thick and glossy as some other magazines, but it's fine, in my opinion. Amateur gardening Lets have a look at the Amateur gardening magazine I have. I do not buy this religiously every week. Occasionally if I feel like reading a gardening magazine I might just buy this one. This magazine costs £1.50 a week. Which I think a good price. It often has a freebie with it a packet of seeds or something similar This magazine has about 60 pages in it. So whats on these pages? I have a may copy here in front of me? Premium Review Greenfingered Girls Gotta Give It A Go (221 words)

I have been buying this weekly gardening title for many months now and must say it is one of the most interesting and informative, without being staid, gardening mags you can get. I moved to a new house in October last and for the first time I had a proper garden *and* a grogeous conservatory. Therefore it was about time I gained some know how in the garden department. I needn't have worried. Thanks to Amateur Gardening I now have hundreds of seedlings (not to mention larger plants)in various states of development both in the conservatory and out in the garden now. I am about to take the plunge into vegetable growing too now! Anyway .... Amateur ...  Read the complete review
