Amateur gardening
Lets have a look at the Amateur gardening magazine I have.
I do not buy this religiously every week. Occasionally if I feel like reading a gardening magazine I might just buy this one. This magazine costs £1.50 a week. Which I think a good price. It often has a freebie with it a packet of seeds or something similar
This magazine has about 60 pages in it. So whats on these pages? I have a may copy here in front of me? There are articles about pruning roses, water gardens, and cold frames. There are lots of colour pictures of flowers and gardens.
Articles written by TV garden stars Peter Seabrook, Anne Swithin bank, Charlie Dimmock (wish she would wear a dry t shirt she will get an awful cold wearing wet t shirts all the time :-), Bob Flowerdew, (he grows things in a way I like) Chris Beardshaw (now theres a nice young man). Monty Don, who in the September issue ponders about digging and the modern trend for non dig gardens.
There are a couple of pages about a readers garden. Readers letters of course.
As you would expect there are masses of Adverts for seeds plants, gardening tools and accessories.
I find this magazine easy to read and browse through; it gives me ideas, lots of information and tips for gardening. I enjoy reading this occasionally to get a few ideas about my garden. Enjoy your gardening best wishes Mary
