Whilst I understand the need for advertising revenue to keep any publication afloat, it seemed to me that there was about 15% coverage of articles and gear guides whilst the majority of the magazine was given over to advertising. Now, obviously, adverts are a good thing in this type of magazine as they give us a good idea to current prices and special offers etc. It was just the huge volume of them that concerned me. I recently took up photography again and felt that it would a good idea to get myself a subscription for a recognized photography magazine. As I had seen quite a few older editions of AP it seemed a good one to go for, as well as the fact that it was a weekly publication.
