I have to honestly say that I think the name of this mag is pretty awful. It sounds like something that needs to be read as quickly and possible, thrown in the bin and then run away/drive off. Let’s just calm ourselves down for a moment, we’re going to have to take a little time to have a good read through this. In fact, let’s rename the magazine right now to a much more friendly ‘Auto Relax’. Auto Relax, sorry, Express is as you may well have guessed by now a motor magazine. It’s out weekly and it’s priced at a fairly reasonable £1.40 per issue. It’s pretty much the motoring equivalent of Hello! Just like ... Read the complete review

I am a car fanatic. Dont know why - no one else in my family is - but I love them. I got into my love of cars thanks to car magazines basically. As I couldn't drive this was the easy way to know about cars and what they are like. Soon I was boring my Mum, annoying my brother and advising - although probably boring him to death - my Dad on what car to buy. The first magazine I liked was Carweek. I really liked it but it soon folded. I then collected monthly mag Complete Car - does anyone remember this or Carweek because I'd like to know. But they joined Autocar, so I stopped buying it. Then there was Auto Express. I started buying this way back in 1998 ... Read the complete review

I buy this magazine every week and have never missed a week since I started reading it. To sum this mag up in one word it would have to be "Champion"!. I love the way the mag is produced weekly, thus keeping us on top of what's happening in the motoring world as it changes all so fast. They are always the first with new car news and I find their opinions to be fair and not one-sided. I also buy what car every month just to see how the two differ in opinions, and to see if they have some news auto express don't, but it's usually the other way round!. The price is fair at £1.50 considering what you get for your money, they ... Read the complete review

Some people say that Top Gear or Evo are the best car magazines but realistically those magazines are really bulky and impractical and cost at least £3.00. But I think Auto Express is just as good. I know that Auto Express will not give you as much to read but instead it gives you world exclusives way before any other magazine even thinks about them and all of that for only £1.35 or if you sign up for a subscription each mag is only 75p, beat that! ... Auto Express has been going for over 10 years now. It was launched as a budget competitor to Autocar and though it still undercuts its old adversary by 50p or so that is hardly a killer saving. Like Autocar it is published weekly and similarly offers the reader a diet of road tests and motoring news and opinion. However whereas the Autocar relies on its authoritative stature Auto Express projects itself as a more vibrant younger magazine. Auto Express tends to use a lot of shorter snippets of items many articles being of less than 200 words. This gives an overall impression that the magazine is targeted very much to those who perhaps have, ... Read the complete review

Bristol Evening Post
The Evening Post often lends its weight to local causes, has a carefully targeted distribution policy that sees each reader getting the news most relevant to them, whilst still covering the news at a national level, and runs regular supplements.
The paper can be a little over-dramatic, and is apt to go beyond providing the news by suggesting what the reader should think of it too. It also had the carelessness to let Jeremy Smith go wandering off to pastures new – a tragedy!
