Advantages: paper copy

Disadvantages: costs money

Ah, before the internet the Autotrader magazine was the only way to buy and sell a second hand car privately. Thank goodness Autotrader moved with the times and opened a webpage showing the same (if not more) cars.

The magazine is separated into sections so you can find the car you want to buy quickly. These sections are... sports, prestige, cars under £500, cars under £1000 and many more. Each car advert has a picture, information and a price. It will also let you know if it's a trade or private sale.

I have had very positive experiences with the Autotrader magazine but even better from the Autotrader website. I have both bought and sold cars this way and have always had good call rates from my adverts. I have to say though I do seem to be getting more nuisence calls from companies trying to sell my car for me or strange people from Nigeria who try to scam you. I think Autotrader should do more to combat this as it detracts from the service.

The price of the magazine is £2 which isn't bad but why buy it when you can get all that information and more from the website?

Summary: I prefer the web

I'm surprised they bother with the magazine these days.
