Great value for the amount of content

This is actually the only newspaper I ever buy. It comes out once a week on a Wednesday night and is excellent for local, South Ayrshire news. As well as having all the news from the previous week, it also keeps you up to date with all the local events. It has lists of bands playing, special events and special offers in local restaurants.
I personally love the classified pages, where you will find loads of bargains and we have personally bought a fridge, three piece suite and bundles of clothes from there when our kids were small. I have sold a few things too and this is easy to do and completely free. There is a huge section with cars for sale too.
Although I like to look for property online, the Ayrshire Post has an excellent property section with colour pictures and well written ads.
As a parent of teens, I also like the news from the local secondary schools. It is a great way of keeping up to date with everything going on at their school.
I would say that for people living in South Ayrshire, the Ayrshire Post is an excellent paper with a lot of information in it and at 80p is a good buy.
