Advantages: Great characters,good humour,fun & games

Disadvantages: Where are the Three Bears & Minnie the MInx?

Beano - still THE comic to buy, with its charismatic characters, timeless humour and endless jokes it will never date the Beano looks as good now as it did when I was five or six (and no that wasn't during the war)

I used to get my Beano every week, rushing off to the local corner shop with my pocket money at the ready and used to sit on the kerb and catch up with my favourite people..

Dennis the Menace is still causing everyone including his long-suffering dad a headache and the favorite Bash Street Kids are still going strong, with some new characters doing their bit..I can't find the three bears with their bowls of mash and sausages which is a shame as I liked them..and what about Minnie the Minx?

There are still activity pages, puzzles to do and competitions to enter which certainly makes me happy to continue buying it as good value (for my little girl of course)and then there's the beano socks, gnasher hats, scarfs etc etc

This timeless comic to me represents a good choice when so many alternatives in the reading section for children have questionable content, I for one will continue to buy both the comic and the annual and have a good read!!
