As its title suggests, Bizarre is for those interested in anything a little bit odd and a little bit underground. At £3.30 a month the price is just right for a large, jam-packed and glossy magazine. However, unlike most magazines, the majority of the pages are filled with high-quality journalism and subjects that no one else would dare touch - think burlesque, cloning and necrophilia.
Although marketed as a 'Men's Magazine,' granted it always has some form of scantily clad female gracing the cover, Bizarre offers much more than a bit of soft fetish porn. Features include...
The week's best (and weirdest) pictures from around the globe -they can really open your eyes and are the sort of stuff you wouldn't fine in mainstream media. Some of the best pictures include a genuine three-eyed cat and a sperm whale whose guts flooded a city in Asia.
'Ultra vixens' - readers can send in their own pictures in an attempt to become ultra vixen of the week.
Reviews - books, films, games you name it. Some real underground and foreign stuff is reviewed as opposed to just the well-publicised and British.

Although Bizarre has been criticised for sometimes bad taste (the feature on 'heroin chic' comes to mind) it is defiantly brave, and does its best to delve into all alternative subcultures. For instance, Bizarre is what first brought my attention to steampunk which I've never heard about anywhere else. A lot of what it publishes is new and exciting and defiantly isn't just for men.
