Celebrations In Cross Stitch (Celebrations in Cross Stitch)
Advantages: Good value for money, you only need to buy the issues which interest you Disadvantages: The charts will tax your eyesight a wee bit
Celebrations In Cross Stitch is unlike the other cross stitch magazines on the market in that there are no articles/editorial/competitions etc. These magazines are simply project books and each issue features a different 'topic'. They are quite expensive (I think they are about £3), but you would only want to buy the issues which interest you. In a way this makes them better value than a lot of cross stitch magazines. I sometimes find myself paying £3 for a magazine just because I really like one design in it. I don't buy many issues of this magazine as I don't usually like the design subject, but the issues I have bought are used over and over again. I bought a Samplers one four years ago and I still use it far more than I use my Sampler books. My only criticism of Celebrations In Cross Stitch is that the charts are rather small and hard to read as they are printed in black and white and the ink is quite light. As with any magazine it is a good idea to look through it before deciding to buy! Summary: |
