This is not a magazine I buy on a regular basis. I do like reading true-life stories though so the other week whilst waiting for a train I decided to give it a go.

I was quite impressed with the price, only 66p for 65 pages, quite cheap considering the prices of some magazines around today.

The thing that hit me straight away was the amount of competitions there was. I counted 16 in the issue I had, all of which you could enter via one entry form. I managed to get every answer apart from one and it didn't take up too much of my time, well not considering my train journey was 3 hours.

I found the stories interesting, nothing too boring and nothing so over the top it is impossible to believe. I am only 19 and you might be surprised when you have heard about me reading Chat. I do buy younger magazines but seem to get fed up of pages upon pages of advertising. I counted 6 full-page advertisements in the issue I bought, not too bad. Anyway I just felt like reading peoples stories for a change.

There is a section every week called Chat up! This is the great way to meet great mates or that someone special, or so Chat say it is. I have already found the man I want to spend the rest of my life with and I haven't got enough time to write to new friends so I skipped this page.

Chat also help with people's health problems with a special 'Ask the doc' section. In the issue I bought thee was a sex special stating it's official: Sex is good for you! You cannot read any magazine without seeing the word sex mentioned.

If you are a Chat fan they are no offering readers the chance to join the Chat Club in association with Gala Bingo. This gives you the chance to get your mitts on chat goodies and special puzzles for members only. I think I will be giving this a miss I didn't think it was that entertaining, well not enough to join a club for.

Chat also includes star signs, great chat giveaway
s, soap and celeb chat and a kitchen corner.

If you have an interesting story to tell Chat pay good money if it gets published. They pay up to £400 to hear what has happened in your life. Unfortunately I haven't got the ability to write something good enough to get published so I think I will stick to reading it but you never now I am a skint student.

I recommend buying Chat if you want to read other peoples stories. If you are looking for hours on end of fun reading I suggest you go buy something elsewhere. For 66p though I have not seen anything much better.
