Child education

Although I do not read this magazine regularly over the 30+ years I have been involved in child care I have read many.
Child education is published monthly and if you get years subscription it costs £42.50 (£3.54 per copy) or if you are a student you can get a cheaper subscription for £24.00 the RRP for a year is £51 that works our £4.50 a copy. If you want just one copy or a back issue they are available from the website http://teachershop.scholastic.co.uk/mags/21880/mag _issues/21754

So why would you buy a copy of child Ed? Well probably because you work in child education or are a parent. A lot of schools have a subscription to this magazine and it is available in the staff room. I have seen copies to borrow from my local library.

Child education is aimed at educating children aged between 4 and 7. This magazine can be a useful resource.
In each copy there are 2 coloured posters that can be put up on the classroom wall. I have a collection of posters I have collected over the years some of which are from child education the pictures cover many topics. There are printable worksheets too. In fact if you go to http://teachershop.scholastic.co.uk/mags;asset_arc hive?page=2these worksheets are available to print from your computer.
Also there are articles with themed activities to help you plan lessons and topics. All aspects of the curriculum are covered.

There are news articles about what is happening in education .There are articles about
Issues such as healthy eating and behaviour.
Child education is a useful magazine to browse through sometimes an article will inspire and the lesson plans and resources are usable. It is worth keeping these magazines for reference as you may want to look at an article or a resource a few months after it has been published.

If you are a parent it’s useful to read this magazine occasionally to get an idea about your Childs education. To get authoritive ideas about how to help them and what they might be doing at school.

There are also available Nursery Education and junior education magazines by the same publisher. All good magazines to look at if you are working with or involved with children at these stages.

Summary: A magazine for child educators
