Advantages: Something for everyone, celeb goss, real life, advice, quizzes, TV mag...

Disadvantages: Could be more content, sometimes the reads over too quick.

There are two magazines I tend to buy: Closer and Heat. I used to buy Closer every week when I was a student, as I had lots of spare time, but now that I work full time in a very hectic job, I simply do not have the time to read Closer every week.
However, it would be my 1st choice magazine for a holiday, plane journey, free weekend, whilst partner is watching the football etc. It has everything you need, celeb gossip, real life stories (some very controversial), agony aunt pages, quizzes, tv section, fashion tips and buys and usually celebs diets. It's good if you want to look at celeb pics, read about Jordan and Peter, the Beckhams etc and it's also good for a more serious read, with Doctors health advice and so forth. There is even some sex advice.
There is abit of everything for all ages. I love it (I'm 25) and my mum will pick it up and read it (She's 50).
I would recommend this if you love your celeb gossip...one word of warning, do not buy all of Closer, Reveal, New etc each week, as they're filled with the same content.

Summary: I love Closer!
