Advantages: Good stories and the magazine is layed out good

Disadvantages: Repeats itself a bit from week to week

I used to read my mums Closer magazine but she stopped buying it so now I read my mates and sometimes buy a copy of my own if I need something to read on the bus.

Its a celebrity magazine that tells us what all the most popular celebs are doing that week.

It annoys me that Jordan and Kerry Katona are in it so much because they are proper scabby people and I don't know why people want to read all the details of their crap and stupid lives so I skip any stories about them because I'm not interested.

Some of the stories are about real people but its usually a bad news story where someone has had there kids took into care or a woman has found out her hubby is cheating on her with her sister and stuff like that.

There are problem pages and they're usually interesting but I get bored reading them if I've had Closer for a few weeks running because the problems repeat themselve too much and the answers are usually too black and white to be useful in real life.

I like the puzzle pages but some of the puzzles are stupidly easy and don't tax my brain enough for them to be v. enjoyable.

I like most of the celebrity stories because Closer usually have things that haven't been in other magazines or newspapers so its new and that isn't like Heat because they usually just use stories that have already been in the Sun or other tabloid papers.

The TV listings are good for finding out what is happening in the soaps but noone uses a paper for the TV now because of the channel guides that make it easier to find what programme you want to watch.

Closer costs about £1.20 and is out every week but I wouldn't buy it every week because I prefer more interesting magazines like OK and Hello.

Summary: Not The Best Magazine In The World But Not The Worst Either
