Advantages: wide range of interesting articles

Disadvantages: only once a month

I really like this magazine and have started to buy it every month, I think it is one of a few magazines out there that is specifically catered for my age group others being a bit old having articles about babies and things in which aren't really of any interest to me or too young I used to like teen magazines such as sugar and bliss this does seem like the next step up in a magazine. I think that it will have relevant articles in for me for a good few years to come as well.

It typical contents include fashion and beauty, celebrity interviews, not really much gossip instead a few interviews instead so it does sort of miss this out a bit, also real life stories and usually a few articles on travel, finance careers or your health.

I like the writing style of this magazine it is quite informal and a chatty style so the articles are quite short and keep you interested throughout. The articles are usually about 2 to 3 pages long with a fair few photos in as well. Usually the articles can be on quite serious topics such as contraception and getting home safely they give advice but in quite an informal way rather than a lecture.

The fashion a beauty pages are quite good although sometimes the clothes they feature can be quite expensive but usually there is a mix from stores from matalan and primark to high end high street stores many pages will give you a few options of the same style from budget to blow out so it will suit most peoples finances. The fashion they feature is quite young probably a twenties range. The beauty pages do sometimes show some quite strange ideas that you probably couldn't wear in real life but hey give you ideas on how to adapt them.

The real life stories focus on a whole range of experiences examples have included cancer, eating disorders and travel diaries. Some quite serious and sad whilst others are happy and upbeat there is quite a wide mix so there should be something in here to catch your attention.

Alot of issues have special themes such as career, music and travel issues the features are quite useful but if you don't want to read about that topic then I would miss that issue as it does take up a fair bit of the magazine.

The magazine costs £2 a month I think this is great value as it has more in it than the weekly magazines and about the same amount as other magazines costing about £3 to £4. It rarely features free gifts however so if you like to choose your magazines for what is free with them then this probably won't appeal that much.

I would recommend trying this, it has a wide range of interesting articles and is written in a good style for the type of magazine.
