Company magazine.... and good company it is too!!

I have only ever bought two copies of this magazine, (note: both purchases have been in times of sickness abroad). I must admit that reading this magazine did make me feel a little brighter. Another admitition is that I only actually bought my second edition because it was the only english language magazine available in the resort, plus the fact that it was free with an edition of OK!.

Most articles give an in-depth and fair representation of the subject in question, with enough humour and piz-zaz to make it interesting where appropriate.

I found the article entitled "I work in a War Zone" in the January 2002 edition particulary eye-opening.

This magazine also has a good section on travel. Which is particularly helpful as is it demonstrates how anyone with any budget can visit the featured city or resort.

A negative thing I would say about this magazine however, is that it has far too many adverts. It is hard to turn more than 3 pages and not find an advertisement staring back at you. There is also a far too large classified section. I'm sure these pages could be put to a more productive use.

What I have also noticed about this magazine, is is that it does tend to sensationalise. In the January edition there was a cover story entitled "My first night of sex gave me three STDs", when, however it was not the girls first night of sex at all, more like her fiftieth!!!

At £2.70 this magazine isn't expensive, but it's not cheap either. For £2.70 I want more content and fewer adverts. Surely the amount of money the magazine makes from all this advertising they could afford to knock 50p off it's price??

All in all, this is a good magazine. I can find more good points about it than I can bad.

I still think it's better than Cosmopolitan!!
