Advantages: Covers loads of stuff
Disadvantages: none
Computer Shopper is a monthly magazine, concentrating not only on Windows PC's but also with Linux, Macs and even Amigas and Ataris. To my knowledge it is the only PC mag which can claim this. Every month the magazine comes with at least one CD, although there are often more. They contain a wide selection of software every month, including many full programs, and the magazine often offers cut price upgrades to the latest versions of software found on its cover. The magazine itself is very thick, and as the name would suggest it has a lot of adverts. This, however isn't just a way to make more money, it forms an easy base from which to find products and a good way to compare prices. The magazine is very good if your looking to buy a pc, pc equipment, software or anything else related to computers. Combine this with the great reviews of new pc hardware and software, with each month the feature being on a different kind of product. For example one month they may review the newest powerhouse PC's , then the next review budget PC's. In addition to this they also have features on a number of topics each week, ranging from tips on windows to building your own pc, and they also have a comprehensive letters section. All in all a great mag, and one which every PC fan should read.
