When I'm thinking about buying a technology related product or piece of computer hardware I look up a copy of Computer Shopper. This magazine saves me a lot of research by doing a lot of the work for me. The recommendations are very good for purchasing products and suggests the best product in each category and also the best value or budget buy product.

The features and how to articles are useful and not beyond a beginners grasp, demonstrating further options for PCs and expanding their functionality. I find the magazine's approach down to earth and to the point, they seem to have a good feel for my requirements as a PC magazine reader. Their no nonsense recommendations provide a good starting point for buying PC products. The magazine is well laid out with good photographs and a cohesive rating system. Perhaps Computer Shopper isn't the final word on buying for an individual but it is a good source of advice and information.
