Advantages: Cheap

Disadvantages: no major disadvantages

I've been reading Comp Shopper for years and years now, originally back in the primordial swamp days of the Sinclair Spectrum, through the Atari ST and now with a Wintel PC. It's always been a lively read, with contributors unafraid to speak out about what they see as being shoddy or overpriced hard and software.Recently they have dropped the genre specific columns for the Acorn, Amiga and Atari, but replaced them with Palm, Symbian and PDA pages. I think the amount of editorial is about the same, but not of the same high quality as before. I still subscribe, but am thinking of dropping the sub, and buying only every couple of months. MacBiter is the best computer column in any mag around though, so I'll need to keep up my fix somehow...
