Computer Shopper has been going for over 20 years now I think, and,in its current state, is a wonderful read. Initially it looks like it is consumed solely by adverts, but after ploughing through these the quality content shines through.

The news section is great for catching up with all types of bits from Networking to the Internet, and is good enough to keep most in touch with the IT world. The letters section is my first port of call, and has been a source of many tips in the past. The test labs are always top notch, and if you are on the market for a top PC, then this should be your first port of call.

Zygote is undoubtfully the most enjoyable and funniest part of the magazine and if you get a chance to read it, do so. I ignored it for many months, now I am considering copying them and hanging them up somewhere!!!

The biggest disadvantage of this magazine is the fact that the prices are often out of date by the time of publish. This isn't a big issue in most cases, but can be a problem when looking to but RAM, etc. As a general guide, however, it is top notch.

This is a good value, quality publication and is worth £2.75 of anyone's money. Might be worth going online and taking out a subscription for £10 (I think) for every six issues if you read it intensely.

If you want to keep in touch with IT, and wish to read good journalism, buy this magazine often. You can't go wrong!
