I have been buying computeractive since it came out and was 99p a copy. It is now £1.20 and comes out fortnightly. For this you get a good computer magazine. It covers everything you want to know on the internet and the computer. The workshop pull out section is great and if you pull out this mini mag every fortnight it becomes a great mini mag of information covering literally everything you need to know. Over time though I have noticed that there is less and less in Computeractive for woman. It used to do a lot of www.sites that would show womans clothes shops, and sites of interest for woman. Now there seems to be more coverage of cars, F1, betting. Before you say it I know woman are interested in all this as well. On the letters page have you noticed that a while ago half used to be from the female species. This latest issue had narey a one. Is this that woman know all there is about the computer, and the internet so dont need to write in about anything or is it that womans letters dare I say it arent being printed. Woman use the internet as well so I hope they will take this into account. It is still the best computer magazine on the market though.

drdel - 30/07/01 Cheers elsie, I think its a good mag for the layman and women like me. Unfortunately my girlfriend discovered a girls website thanks to computeractive and now I have forgotten what my laptop looks like! Good op though. |
