Advantages: Clear and easy to follow; not expensive

Disadvantages: cannot think of any disadvantages

I first came across ComputerActive in January 1999, 3 months after getting my first PC, and just as I was about to go online.
I had seen all the glossy PC magazines with their free software discs, and not been very impressed.
However, from the minute I sat down to read ComputerActive, I started to learn. It comes out ecery fortnight, costs £1.20 and is informative in all aspects of PC needs, and caters for complete beginners to those who are much more advanced.
From this magazine, I have learned many new computing skills, and even how to re-format my hard drive succesfully.
It comes out fortnightly, and contains many new product reviews, around 5 detailed workshops, a help page, letters page, competitions, and best of all, has a helpline open 7 days a week (premium rates, but will call back if the problem is likely to take time to work out).
I have used their helpline on 3 occasions, the most expensive call costing £15.00, so still less than paying someone to deal with the problem.

Summary:
