Computeractive:
... highly rate Computer Active magazine. I have been reading it for years and have always found the magazine very informative and up to date in the latest advances in the word of computers. I particularly like the advice both in the magazines and on their website. I am not a computer expert and this magazine is good at explaining the in-depth world of computers. There is often a helpful explanation of the many abbrevi... Read the full review: Useful magazine if you want to know anything about computers by tomprosser |

PC Format ... PC Format is the leading PC publication from Future Publishing, who print what can comfortably be regarded as the leading range in PC related magazines. It covers both recreational and utility software and hardware, where PC Gamer is more focused upon games and entertainment. .Net , a third magazine, covers the Internet. PC Format stands head and shoulders among these and all other PC magazines as the best by far. The cover-mounted software is responsible for the bulk of the price - £4.99 for 2CD edition, £5.99 for the DVD version. These include often the best, most recent game demos (recently Metal Gear Solid , Sheep and Pro Rally 2001 ) and usually a large p... Read the full review: Easily The Best by SkyscraperFanClu |

It has detailed, Un biased opinions and reviews and has all the latest and greatest hardware. This magazine is brilliant and will probably be a good investment if you subscribe to this magazine. the last issue i read had a section on how to build faster PC than Dell s XP5 for £275 less including a nice lian li case. The information is extremely useful and has plenty of reviews, mods, games and ways to save money in each monthly issue. The magazine will usually compare a different piece of hardware in each issue for example it might compare 29 different power supplies and give ... Web User ... the moment I first got on the internet back in 1996 I have bought so many PC and Internet magazines when I m out and about. Years ago I would usually buy the more expensive £4.99 magazines such as Computer Active, etc simply for the free disk on the front, which I always thought would be useful to have, but most of the time it remained on the front cover... never used. Only to then open the magazine to find it full of adverts and useless articles. Then one day in WH Smiths I saw a brand new magazine called Web User, which was advertised as being the first all Internet magazine at the time. I wasn t all that interested at first until I saw the price of 99p. I bought... Read the full review: Web User blows all other Internet magazines out of the water by buckhysen |
