Advantages: Good variety of articles
Disadvantages: Can be biased
Cosmopolitan is a magazine aimed at women between the ages of 18 and 40.
It contains the usual articles that you would expect to find in womens magazines such as clothes, haircare & skincare, celebrities, men, sex & relationships and of course real life stories.
It is a very informative magazine and makes for easy reading for many women across the country.
They usually have different features every month about topical subjects for example feminism, latest celebrity diets and interviews with certain celebrities.
They also have horoscopes and agony aunt and help pages in which people write in with problems and qualified doctors, psychologists and therapists will give them their views and opinions on the matter.
They feature lots of up to date fashion articles and shows you clothing items and where you can buy them.
Recently there has been many articles on the credit crunch and how to save money.
I find Cosmopolitan can sometimes give a biased view on certain aspects, for example, a professional dentist giving their views on tooth whitening. However, for £3.30 a month I do usually tend to pick one up as it is great to have a flick through when you have some spare "you" time.
Summary: A good read
