Advantages: lots to read, up to date, modern

Disadvantages: expensive and lots of advertising.

Cosmopolitan is a brilliant magazine that is all about star gossip, fashion tips, beauty tips, shocking and sad real life stories, help pages for body, life and health issues, men problems and tips for the bedroom too on occassion. It is definitely one for the women, I doubt any men would read it aha.

It is a great magazine to keep up on the latest fashion trends.

The magazine is published monthly which I think is wise because I can't see anyone paying £3 a week for a magazine. It is expensive, but there is so much in this magazine, there's lots of pages full of gossip and fashion, it's a really thick magazine that is brilliant for long distance journeys because it lasts ages. It takes me a good couple of hours to read the whole magazine.

The layout and general design of the magazine is very good, proffesional. I must say, I think they must only have the best staff because the wording and use of images is always good, never too much on one page. There is always a picture of a high-status celebrity on the front which is also another sign of quality, no respected celebrity would have their picture on a rubbish magazine which is reassuring for readers.

I often see this magazine on the shelf with free gifts, things like make-up bags and make-up which is a good incentive to buy the magazine, it's always nice to feel like there is a perk for buying the magazine you want.

The only negative thing that I can say about the magazine is that there is an awful lot of advertising, every couple of pages there are pictures of clothes and perfumes which is a bit annoying, but also good in a way because you get to see new products. I also think that the price is a little high, but again, you do get a lot for your money.

Overalll, it is a modern, classy magazine that is definitely worth reading, there is so much in this, it is too good to miss.
