Advantages: Packed Full of info., Written by women for women, Cheap for what you get.
Disadvantages: Only out once a month, maybe too many skinny women , Could do with less advertising
Cosmopolitan is a fantastic magazine for women of today whether single, married, working or a housewife, young or old. There is something for all.
I've been a reader for 8 months now and I love it. What I love about it most is the fact that the women featured are just the same as me, this can be comforting knowing Im not the only woman going through things.
The advice on relationships, sex, families have been really excellent as well as their advice on fashion, make-up and health.
The real life stories have actually brought me to tears as pathetic as that may sound.
In some magazines you may see stories and interviews with celebrities, but Cosmopolitan really excels it's self here; it doesn't make them out to be bad or sad people it shows the true them and their feelings. Like the interview they did with Daniella Westbrook about her drug addiction was very honest and moving.
Despite all it's good side Cosmopolitan does have that image of skinny models with perfect complexion and perfect sex life and make up, this part of the magazine is a little disappointing.
Maybe to improve that side they could use their actual readers, whether they are housewives or accountants that are both happy and successful in different ways.
