Create magazine is an Internet magazine aimed at the web designer. However, I bought it for my first time after being an avid reader of .net magazine and have to say that I prefer .net The magazine say's that it cater's for web designers. However, the Cover CD has all the same software that we have all seen over and over again. Flash, Fireworks etc etc, it dosent really include any original software. The magazine itself is a very good read. But, i did think on buying it that I was going to get a whole load of tips oni how to design and code better. I was a bit dissapointed when all i came across was adverst for big design companies everywhere ... Read the complete review

With the web taking off so significantly and the bandwith to many sites increasing it has become more important now, more than ever befor, to take a greater look at the design of web pages. The days are numbered for those white pages full of hyperlinks, poor content, uninteligable navigation and the very annoying POP UP WINDOW. As a design student I have been looking at art and design books and magazines for some time. Ther are a number of books that help to understand the necessity to create sticky web pages, but this is the first time a magazine has managed to target, so directly, a missing area. There are software programs out there that ... Read the complete review

Yes i just will have to admit it that i do like this little magazine. I trust Future publishing that much that i saw an add for this mag in .net and decided to get a 6 month subscription without even seeing the magazine. However i must say that i am glad in doing this as the magazine is great and gives you some nice info on websites that you would never have known of before! Though please realise that this magazine is about Design and NOT content of pages so some of the sites listed will not have much in them though will look good :-) ... Read the complete review

No, I'm not writing this review from a loony bin, but Cre@te Online do seem to be rather infatuated with @s. I'm not a Web Designer but I want to be, and Cre@te Online has given me a great insight in to Web design. Each week they have sections such as: - News - Diary of a Launch (of a website) - in issue 3, for example, they did an article about the launch of the Science Museum's Wellcome Wing (www.sciencemuseum.org.uk /wellcome-wing). - Talent - a section about web creatives - A Showcase of Websites - Debates. Etc, etc. For anyone who's a web designer, or interested in web design, this is a must (as far ... Read the complete review

I picked up this magazine because I've got a thing about magazines and I have boxes full of them at home. I was expecting it just to be another poncy design mag, no good with regards to doing what clients and internet users actually want but very nice looking on my shelf. However, there's lots of stuff in here for the non-poncy information designer. It keeps up with the new cutting edge technologies without harping on about daft browser-crashing bells and whistles. Anyone remember VRML? So it looks good and the content is great, but it costs a fiver. As far as I'm concerned that's fine because now Future have bought Cre@te out ... Read the complete review
