Advantages: Detailed and interesting reviews, wide variety of products, hands-on guides

Disadvantages: Highly specialised and maybe too geeky for some

In my line of work, I need to keep up-to-date with the latest computer hardware. This mag is great for keeping me in touch and informed of the latest industry news, products and developments.

Their reviews are always interesting and well worded. They make the reviews very easy to read and delve in-depth in to the performance and practical applications of everything they review. In addition, they also make references to existing rival products and alternatives.
This means that you always get an impartial and honest view which will enable you to judge how good a product is, compared to its competitors.

They review computer hardware mostly, but they also have industry news, technical and hands-on articles (which clearly explain how to create gadgets and so-on), as well as some software reviews.
They often have feature articles which concentrate on individual areas of PC upgrade/maintenace. Most recently they have looked at CPU's, Graphics Cards and Water Cooling. All three of these issues were very detailed and very easy to follow (even without Geek-level knowledge).

To be honest this magazine is really only aimed at hardcore techno-heaads who are interested in building and maintaining their own PC's, but if you feel like delving a little deeper in to the hardware industry this is a great place to start.

Summary: In my view, this is the Ultimate in PC hardware magazines...you don't need anything else
