First of all I would like to start my review by saying that I am indeed female as you will probably already know by my picture and yes I am writing a review about the daily star newspaper simply because I buy it all the time.


The daily star is a newspaper that is available Monday- Saturday. It is the cheapest newspaper available at just 20p through the week. I must admit up until about a year ago I would never even bother reading a paper my mam used to buy the evening chronicle all the time and I didn't even give it a second glance. One day when I was in the co-op I seen a man holding the daily star paper and seen that it had a picture of Katie price on the front although I can't remember what the exact topic was. I decided to buy the daily star that day and since then I buy it all the time.


I must admit I love a bit of celebrity gossip and scandal and I feel like I spend an absolute fortune on magazines that basically all tell you a different version of the same story. I figured whats the point in spending all this money to read things that I can see in the paper for 20p. It seems like lately everything in the magazines is on the front cover.


The daily star is fantastic for celebrity news and gossip and centres mostly at the minute regarding Katie price and Alex Reid. Of course everything that is printed in the papers isn't necessarily true it's still readable and entertaining for all of half an hour. As well as celebrity news there is your general news too, you can see many articles with daily news that are written well. It contains weather, sports (not for me) stars, advertisements, puzzles and generally money off coupons.


I find it intriguing how a lot of people find the daily star to be a paper for the male generation as I think females can enjoy this paper too but let's see a topless man on page three instead please:-).


Overall I would advise ladies to give this a go. I like it much better than the sun plus it's cheaper.
