DVD Review ... in my dark ages when I didn't have access to a PC and the wonder that is the World Wide Web (does anyone actually call it that anymore??) I had to resort to magazines to grasp knowledge and reviews of what interested me. My main interest now is mainly DVD and has been for the past 2 years almost. So before I was all netted up there was one magazine I would buy each month in order to quench my thirst for all things DVD related. This magazine was DVD Review. DVD Monthly ... interest in films caused me to subscribe to Empire magazine a couple of years ago. I then found my interests had developed specifically towards DVD and home cinema. The steady deterioration of Empire and the poor coverage they afforded to home cinema meant that I cancelled my subscription and started to look elsewhere. I tried Total DVD magazine and Hot Dog but have now settled on DVD Monthly. Cost is the same as Total DVD, namely £3.99 per month, but it has featured VCD cover discs since October 2000 which was some months before we saw Total DVD do the same. DVD Review ... have been reading DVD Review now for about 6 months.In this time my DVD collection has grown out of all proportion.I started thinking to myself I will just buy the occasional DVD.What's happened I started reading DVD review and the thought of "just an occasional DVD " has gone out of the window big time.I religiously buy it every month read it from cover to cover and guess what I go and buy a DVD that they have recommended.The thing is that if DVD review says that its worth getting then "its worth getting".
