Advantages: Great magazine, very fair
Disadvantages: Bad format changes
Well back when Future Publishing first launched the Edge managzine, every one sat up and went oooooooo..... But, between then and now it has undergone some format changes and subtle little tweaks, and now it is not as good as it used to be. Gone is the order to the section where they look beyond games to CD's, books, gagdets etc, and where it once stood is a mix mash which usually is about stupid toys.
It is still by and large the best multi-format magazine around if not games magazine around, and testament to that was that I was able to sell my back catalogue for 1.50 each recently on an auction! Something you wouldn't be able to do with Gameboy Monthly!!!....
You'll either love it or hate it based on whether you want geneal stuff about games and technology, or whether you want a narrow minded single format view of the world...
