“ Magazine for fans of eJay, the sample based music creation software. „
Cashing in on the success of the popularity of the music creation computer program "Dance eJay" (and it's later incarnations), Future Music recently launched a magazine dedicated to it. After a slightly drab first issue, the following edition was much improved, as was the contents of the cover CD. There is still a fair bit of 'padding' ie non-related material such as night clubs (?), which is annoying to say the least. Trial versions of various software are included on the CD, some are useful (like additional music samples), some are not. As the magazine is still in it's foundation stages, they are still sussing out what users of eJay want from the magazine and they have asked for suggestions. So, I sent one in - they didn't have the common decency to reply, let alone if they were going to use it. It doesn't cost much to reply with "thanks for your suggestion and were looking into it". Or am I just an optomist? It might be different if I said I was interested in placing an advert in their magazine.
