A fashion BIBLE! Shame if you're not so interested in fashion though... (Elle)

Advantages: fashion forward, freebies, discounts, comps, supliments, variety of coverage and sections, real-life

Disadvantages: a fair few adverts, but no more so than any others. Not great if you are not soley fashion obsessed!

I'm surprised Elle has got such a low rating on dooyoo- it's my favourite magazine! I can't wait until it comes out every month, it's a real treat! It has to be said that it is a FASHION magazine, so it may not be for everyone.

I have divided my points into advantages and disadvantages...

:) Fashion! For every fashion lover, you can't beat Elle. It is jam packed with hardcore, runway fashion. There is no 'dumbing down' or filler features, it's high fashion at it's best!

:) Fashion forward They don't mind talking about Winter fashion in July at Elle- it's a bible to all fashionistas who live for fashion.

:) Freebies, discounts and competitions- Every issue always has a great freebie, from bags to even tops! There's also always discounts and freebies such as manicures and haircuts, and they run lots of competitions in the magazine and on the website.

:) Suppliments- There's always a catwalk, accessories and high-street shopping supliment= lots more fashion and reading! Woop!

:) Clear sections- Reading through the magazine is great, you know what section you are in, what to flick to, and it's a really satisfying formula.

:) Good beauty coverage- Many magazines skim on beauty coverage but Elle always highlights the hair and makeup looks from runways and gives the beauty gossip on new products in each issue.

:) Great editorials- Elle aren't as crazy or adventurous in all editorials, many are there to demonstrate current trends and fashion in a beautiful, imaginative way

:) Interesting stories- There are real-life stories in Elle, but they are inspiring and memorable, rather than some crazy scandal that you can get in other magazines.

:) Celebrity and fashion people news- There's often interviews with fashion designers or high figures in the fashion world. These are relevant, such as pictures of their homes or their style tips.

:) Some humour!- There's a funny column in each issue called Madmoiselle which is very funny! It's by a mystery fashion figure, I still can't figure out who it is!

:) Adverts! I personally don't mind many adverts! I find fashion adverts to be beautiful and inspiring. there really isn't that many, especially compared to most magazines. At least in Elle, none are for random, cheapie products or food!

:) Often a large issue- Elle takes over an hour to read if you're interested in reading it all!

:( Adverts- Some people dislike adverts and will skip straght past them, so if this is you, they might be a little annoying. Really no more than any other magazine though!

:( Maybe you want more?- As Elle is all about fashion, some people might want a bit more variety from a magazine.

Summary: An incredible, legedary fashion magazine.
