My reason for buying this magazine? It had a free vest top with it. The reason I bought this magazine last time? It had a really cool free bag with it. The content? To be honest, I'm having a really hard time recalling exactly what was in it. Why? Because it was completely indistinguishable from the usual insulting dross which these things are filled with.

Why print pages of airbrushed to perfection models wearing clothes that 99.9% of us wouldn't be seen dead in, even if we could afford them? Who pays £800 for a handbag or £600 for a belt? If the answer is the magazine's readers why bother giving free ones away in the first place?

I've read the reviews of Cosmo on this site and those women seem to be equally outraged at the crap which women are supposedly interested in. When are publishing companies finally going to realise that most women are interested in a little more than having the right foundation and what length of skirt is 'in' this season? A real challenge presents publishing companies - producing an intelligent women's magazine which is more appropriate to our needs and interests in the 21st century.
