it is worth buying this just for the top (Elle)

Advantages: good freebies, quite attractive superficially

Disadvantages: not interesting, not useful

I never usually buy elle but was tempted into it this time because of the free top it had with this months issue. It is not a fantastic magazine but at £2.80 for a nice top you should buy it. It is a slash necked vest top which almost looks like it has cap sleeves on it. It is black and has a Elle tag on the side by the waist and will fit sizes 8-12 (which is a little unfair really.)

The reason why I am going on about the top so much and not about the actual magazine is because the mag is really not that good. The articles failed to say anything of significance and did not hold my interest at all. The mag's flavour of the month model is Sophie Dahl (who I'm not interested in at all and who's face annoys me), the fashion shoots are not useful or particularly impressive artistically and all the clothes and products featured in the mag are not accessible to most people as they are expensive or just too difficult to find. It is also full of adverts, much like other big magazines such as vogue and marie claire.

However, they do give away good freebie's and this will encourage me to keep an eye out for it next month.
