Advantages: intelligent, amusing, practical advice

Disadvantages: fashion section a bit in outer space

Lately I get the feeling I'm getting old before my time. All the sex tips in the other magazines just seem to be the same old thing and when i look at some of the backless frontless bottomless dresses advertised I just wonder how the heck women wear them without freezing. I began to long for a magazine with some real meaty content.
And what do you know, I found it. Eve is a marvelous piece of work. Finally intelligent and interesting articles on things ranging from the everyday (are we having too many periods?) to the slightly more bizarre (strange article on an enema holiday... well you had to be there I guess) all of them intriguing and good fun to read. It was also good to read one that took real women's ideas and opinions into view. I'm all very happy about being told that orange is the 'in' colour by a beauty editor somewhere but Eve includes product reviews and descriptions tested by real women and what I assume to be real budgets.
It also has practical career and money advice which is always helpful.
The one thing that I found slightly impractical were the fashions that graced its pages, rather than going for things that would be readily available on the high street, it went a little too far in terms of expensive designer items (not simply Karen Millen, but 1000 pound items...). But hey, that's one complaint in a land of general happiness. It's certainly worth a look!
