FIRST IMPRESSION

I will write something about a magazine that at first for me is just about sex, boobs and men's sexual fantasies. I'm an Asian that is a little bit conservative when it comes to my body, and seeing other women "exploiting" their body is just a big thing for me. FHM created a big fuss here in our country (Philippines), we are known as a very religious and conservative once. The people are not yet ready when the mag came out that's why religious and conservative groups condemn the people behind it. I admit that I was one of them before, you can't blame me its in our culture and in our society that the body must be respected and part of it is keeping it out from everybody's eyes.

HAVING ONE

Out of curiosity I purchased one, upon seeing one famous young artist here in our country with her most seductive poise. In her two piece underwear or I shall say suit, I found the picture very sexy yet in not in an offensive way. Maybe that's what they say "ART", seeing the things that will captivate your eyes. I think this is what they say, it has to be done creatively and artistically, good facial expression, curves and good camera shots.

GOOD READING MATERIAL

The articles written in the mag is not what I expected to read, maybe staff FHM thought that Filipino's are still conservative even in this century. The articles is just about playing with your minds and just being naughty, the idea of being obscene is in a person's mind.

JUDGMENT

Right now for me FHM is just about entertainment and learning, the sexy pictures are just spice or just a marketing idea. Behind it are good writers and some naughty once but all in all the mag simply just want us to entertain and learn about things that we don't usually or we are not open to talk about. I think the company are responsible enough to know their limitations and the country's value, I just wish that they will just stick about being naughty and entertain people. Reading the mag doesn't changed my value, but it change my view about being sexy and being naughty.
