Advantages: Funny and gory, Sexy women, Has remained fresh and 'new'

Disadvantages: Jokes are weak, Can be a bit snobbish and exclusive, Price.

FHM has everything- women, gore, laughs, travel, film, music and sex. (amongst others) It is amazing that the magazine still manages to remain fresh and interesting even though it is in its 139th issue! (and may there be many more)

It remains classy- to a certain extent with respect to its portrayal of women. It never shows gratuitous nudity nor does it head towards anything more than soft porn.

Its film and music reviews have always been accurate. They review them with their readers in mind, whilst remaining honest. They are never afraid to give a 'big' movie the thumbs down, case in point, they only gave Pearl Harbour 3 stars.

Another bonus for FHM readers is the top 100 sexiest women. Nowhere else can we appreciate such lovely ladies, in all their splendour! It gives the nation an opportunity to vote for their favourite. What more can a man ask?

The magazine is very easy on the eye and its layout and structure are very straightforward. It has both regular sections and then new exciting parts that keep the magazine 'new' every month.

One last point is that so many female readers also love FHM. This also is to the magazine's credit. It remains a lads mag, yet does not segregate or put off female readers- thus adding to its commercial success.

On the negative side, the jokes are not funny and the true stories are only occasionally interesting or funny. Also the fashion section is very clearly aimed at the more affluent among us.

I have been buying FHM since I was a nipper and dont see any reason i should stop.
