Being a student in a Boys boarding school is not as easy as most people seem to think. I can’t actually see the point of not having any girls at all. It doesn’t destruct you from studies or anything; it even makes you work harder. I don’t think any girl would go for a bloke who really doesn’t care about his homework and finds it cool to be dumb. And even having a girl high school quite close to our school doesn’t make the situation much better. The only female personnel that you see at school is cleaners and about 5 teachers (out of 80!!). This is where magazines like FHM come in…
-----------The first impression------------
When you finally get back to the house and take out a fresh FHM issue, you don’t even know where to start. Right away on the cover you see a famous beautiful woman, normally wearing something small and hot. Around her there are lots of little bits of articles and page numbers. Everything new and special is shown or mentioned on the cover. Even without opening the mag it is easy to understand that this is exactly what you want to read and know about. And so you rip the plastic cover off and open it.
-----------Quick and easy-------------
The good thing about FHM is that it is really easy to find something. On the very 4th page (after few pages of adverts) you see a complete list of everything that this issue contains. And there are two parts of the list – all the usual stuff that you see every time you buy the magazine and the specials with fresh interviews and stories. Under each heading there is a little passage from that article which really boosts you desire to flick to that page and read, read, read…
Now I’ll talk about the actual sections of the magazine. There are lots of them and almost evry man(if he is not gay) can find exactly what he expected from the most popular Men’s mag.
**Letters**
This is a discussion
zone. People send letters to FHM with their suggestions about the magazine or something funny they know or have. Basically all the letters sent to the editors are read and the most weird or interesting are published. Sometimes you get very hot discussions about some things and it is very funny to read what people’s perfect mag would be.
** Reporter**
Articles of some mad journalists that travel all over the world and get the most crazy stories ever. Some of them are really useful, they write stuff that you will not find anywhere else. Quite a lot of it is useless really. If you want to know what is happening in Afghanistan you should read The Times or something, but if you are interested in stuff like another man who ate his left testicle or the new version of 'suicide notes for busy folk' this section is for you. Plus they have many interviews with top models or famous actresses all of whom are amazingly fit. These aren’t proper interviews it’s just women telling the readers about their life and different situations they got into. This is one of the longest sections and you can easily find a lot of funny stuff in it.
**Bar room jokes**
Well, jokes obviously. Some are quite funny I should admit
**Girl talk/Letters from lesbos**
This is easily the most popular section among us, teenagers. Of course everyone wants to know what women like or hate in bed and the new hot tips of how to get a lady come in 2 minutes. Great section!!
**Ladies’ confession**
Few sexy stories of women getting off with blokes (or each other) in most strange places and situations. Some are funny, some are stupid, some are just weird. Very interesting at times, especially if you’ve been in that situation before.
**Fashion**
Around 20 pages of guys wearing the most stylish clothes. The name and price are also given. I’m not sure but I think you can order a catalogue
to buy all this, but most things are pretty expensive.
**True stories**
Very much like Bar room jokes. Exactly the same set out apart from these are real stories (apparently). But they are just as funny.
These are the most common sections. Also in every issue they have special guests, interviews, stories etc. The magazine keeps changing, some sections come and go, but these are the ones that are there for ages.
----------Conclusion-----------
So this magazine is perfect for people like me – desperate for more sexy stuff. You can read it, or just flick through it or pick bits that you like. But be sure – in every magazine that you buy you will find a lot of excellent pictures of the most beautiful women in the world. And this is not even soft porn. They are just pictures and many people in my school have about a hundred all over the walls in their rooms. They are quite polite. So buy FHM, read FHM and love FHM because it is probably one of the best magazines in its area.
