Advantages: Great aticles and sexy models - very humorous
Disadvantages: Bad language through-out
But what lies within. FHM, For Him Magazine was one of the pioneers of gentlemens magazines in Britain. Produced by the National Magazines company (who is also responsible for titles such as Elle and a thousnad other magazines) it has a strong backing. The main theme, as with all gents mags, is to get them bought, and this is done by very 'artistic' modelling by some of TV and films most popular dollies. Now, as a bloke I have to say this is a very good feature to attract their audience. All the women that pose never show too much flesh, all leaving with dignity but an increased fan base of drooling men. If you are beautiful, famous and female you are in. But what of the rest. Its all excellent. The articles within are humourous and interesting and appeal to the more basic instincts. Bad language, toilet humour and sexual conitation flow through-out and although some may say this is distasteful, it is handled in a very well meaning manner. Grooming tips and stories on how to handle the female species also abound and although I find it hard to see how fresh material will be forthcoming I am sure that their place as top gentlemens magazine will be ensured for some time to come.
