Advantages: Weekly, decent value for money

Disadvantages: Very few of the clothes are affordable, too much celebrity waffle

Grazia is the number 1 selling glossy woman's weekly magazine. Usually retailing at £1.90, it very frequently is discounted to £1. Grazia is around 150 pages in length, of which only around 15% are adverts.

The magazine is primarily focussed on celebrities and fashion. There are some real life stories interspersed throughout, these are not along the lines of diets and the neighbour marrying your son, but are often focussed on legal or humanitarian conflicts.

The clothes advertised range from Yves Saint Laurent to Primark. Most of the photos in the shoots are designer, however sometimes a high street shoot slips in towards the back. In the non modelled clothes, there is a greater range of more affordable high street clothes.

Personally I find that Grazia is not geared towards the average shopper, and I do not have a celebrity budget to afford to purchase the designer items featured. As I have little to no interest in celebrities, I no longer buy this magazine when it is fully priced, however the stories featured make it worthwhile buying when it is only £1. The high point of Grazia for me is the photography, which can be excellent, especially on the around the world stories.

Summary: Celebs and posh frocks in a weekly dose
