      Very helpful

A handy mag for gardeners and allotmenteers

Grow Your Own is a great magazine for all gardeners and allotmenteers who grow (or want to start growing) their own fruits and vegetables. It's filled with great features, articles and hints for people interested in gardening.

The magazine is available in lots of newsagents and bigger supermarkets, but is one that you might need to ask them to order in for you as it's not as mainstream as some other magazines. I can't remember the exact price of the individual magazines, but my subscription is about £25 for six issues.

Each issue is packed with hints and tips for successful growing which range from the basic and easy to implement, to the more complicated. There are long term projects which require lots of work and effort, and short term gains which anyone can use.

The magazine has lots of contributors who all seem to be really knowledgeable. Gardening really is all about knowledge and small tips being passed from gardener to gardener - and this magazine really helps to achieve that. I have always found the advice really useful. The writing is also quite entertaining, and there are often light hearted pieces in amongst the more lengthy features and practical advice.

One thing I like the most about Grow Your Own magazine is the freebies. They always seem to give away lots of great seeds and the magazine also has fantastic vouchers for money off in garden centres. This is really handy.

I would really recommend this magazine for hobbyists who like to grow their own.
