Advantages: Variety of topics - health, nutrition , fitness

Disadvantages: Writing and pictures on pages seem squashed, didn't like the layout much

I bought my first issue of this magazine this month as i wanted to get motivated towards losing weight and getting fitter and healthier.

From the front of the magazine I thought it looked like there was enough variety in the magazine so that it might interest me - articles not just on getting fit and sport etc but also nutrition, health and some alternative health products and interesting ideas too.

There were other added bonuses such as competitions and special offers in the magazine.

However whe i actually started reading it I just found that the whole magazine felt squashed together - like they had crammed too much on each page. Even the longer articles the writing felt small and cramped and I just didn't like the layout. Half the point to me of reading a magazine (rather than say a book on health and fitness) is so that you can flick through the pages and pick out things you want to read further or go back to later etc. However with this magazine I just found it not very easy to quickly flick through and see what things were about or what was of interest without looking more closely in the first place.

I also found the magazine to be something that is maybe more suitable for people who are already very keen on sport, health or fitness rather than just starting out. For someone like me who does not particularly have a love of the gym or exercise I think you would be better off with Zest which is more a health and fitness lifestyle magazine rather and seems a bit more lighthearted or even the weightwatchers magazine which would inspire you to get fit and lose weight - though it doesn't carry much in the way of actual fitness tips.

This magazine is definately a woman's magazine and i'm sure lots of people will like it but it just wasn't really for me.

I used to read this 10 years ago! I switched to Zest because you could pay with Tesco Clubcard vouchers, but I found it too wishy-washy for my taste.
