Rating:

Advantages: Humorous, cheap price, great TV Guide, Celebrity gossip.

Disadvantages: interviews are not very deep, few in-depth articles

Heat , which is available every tuesday, is an informative read for the younger generation. The is aimed at those who love to gossip about celebrities. It has a day by day glance into what those on the *other side* have been up in the last week whether it's Madonna and Guy washing their car or Britney Spears performing in Hawaii. The television guide is set out in a very understandable format, with a description of each show during primetime viewing. There are four unmissable programmes so you can see what you should be watching and also a digital, cable and satellite guide. Reviews of the latest books, videos, DVDs and CDs are mostly reliable but they do have a tendency to praise almost anything and rarely discredit an author or artist. The last Page is devoted to soundbites of various celebrities and is vastly entertaining. In conclusion, Heat is an enjoyable, understandable, easy-to-read which is value for money and more fun to read than the Radio Times!
