I have bought Heat magazine since it first began. I was immediately attracted to the magazine, as I wanted a TV guide that wasn't as stuffy as the Radio Times (the articles aren't interesting in RT either) but wasn't as mindless as things like TV Quick.

The main advantage of Heat is that it covers all areas of showbiz, not just TV. And this in turn means that it doesn't just go on and on about soap operas.

However, this advantage has recently become its downfall. I think the magazine is spending too much time concentrating on celebrity parties and on articles on subjects such as celebrity houses.

It obsesses about people who are famous for being famous rather than real celebrities.

However, it is still one of the most entertaining weekly magazines around, an dwhen it does do a proper interview, it is usually very interesting. The reviews of videos, tv programmes, albums etc are usually very fair and accurate also.

Summary:
