Advantages: good gossip, TV listings , prize crossword

Disadvantages: not cheap

Heat has managed to fill a large gap long missing in TV listings guides, it has combined the usefulness (and need) for a TV guide in the digital age alongside celebrity gossip on which an entire generation seems to be hooked.

The "celebs" it concentrates on are unsurprisingly those who attract the most media attention and therefore sell more copies - expect to see a Beckham or Robbie Williams on the cover.

Heat manages to dish the dirt but remains reasonably scandal free - above the National Enquirer standard of writing but less star friendly than Hello or OK.

The TV listings are comprehensive and equal to any other TV guide on sale and the glossy pages of celebritities justify the higher cost.

Heat is a big favourite in my office and once the celebrity news is discussed the prize crossword taxes our brains til the working day is done !
