Advantages: Nothing
Disadvantages: Everything
Unfortunately I buy this magazine every single week and it is in my house which I feel a little ashamed about. My daughter asks me to buy this for her every week as she says that it is the only rubbish magazine that she reads a week. Even though I hate this magazine, especially when Big Brother is on, I buy it for her. Sometimes I do have the occasional glance at it which always makes me feel a little guilty about afterwards.
Heat magazine is primarily an entertainment magazine which includes lots of information about celebrities and their latest exploits. It also contains a television guide for the next week, pages about fashion and makeup. It really is as bad as it sounds, just like every other rubbish celebrity magazine that is out there and I hate it. I have flicked through this magazine a few times but still can't understand why people like it as it is just filled with garbage.
Even the parts that are meant to be funny such as the 'Ring of Truth' pages which highlight embarrassing moment's celebrities have such as sweating through a shirt. To me these aren't funny but a little sad as I don't know why people would want to read and laugh at these people, it just seems pathetic. Also I hate this magazine when Big Brother is on TV as it is full of information and gossip about this programme which I also think is dire.
Overall I do think this magazine is rubbish and can't understand why people would like it. At £1.65 it really does annoy me that I pay that price so my daughter can fill her head full of rubbish. At least it's the only crap magazine that she reads!
Summary: A terrible magazine

- 25/06/08 I would point blank refuse to pay for it. They had heaps of these at the maternity ward when I was in for two weeks, and I went insane until hubby brought me some decent books from home. |
