Advantages: good read

Disadvantages: pricy, not always a good read

Heat Magazine is a weekly publication that has been running for years now. It is on issue 494 just now and i've been buying it for the last 6 years. Although I have been buying all this time, it is not my favourite magazine, but yet I continue to buy it.

Heat seems to just have tje same format as other magazines out there. It is all about celebrities, and although other magazine feature real life stories as well, Heat is all about Celebs.

Priced at £1.65 each week, it isn't that cheap, as some other magazines cost 80p and although they have less pages you have to think is it worth it? The last magazine had 139 pages.

So what is in the magazine? It has the same columns in it each week. There is

- A few celebrity stories. People like Britney Spears, Jade Goody, Rachel from Big Brother have been the main stories this week. These are usually a 2-4 page spread for the stories

- Fashion pages. Which celebs are wearing what

- E-mail, Letters page. Explains itself

- Love and stuff - celebs and their love life

- The week in pictures. Usually celebs falling over drunk, usually Posh is in there somewhere, of course not because of being drunk, more so about her hair thesedays. Jordan features heavily often as well

- Spotted. Sighting of celebs eating out and so on

- Man World. A whole 1 page spread of what's going on according to a man. No wonder it's only 1 page!

- The Heat Interview. Usually it's an interview with someone who is on TV just now. So wheather it be someone from Strictly Come Dancing, Big Brother and so on.

- Star Style. More pages of fashion, Beauty and so on. Often a good 10-16 pages of this.

- 7 Day TV guide. Explains itself. Also in this section it has reviews about films at the cinema, DVds and books

- 10 questions. A celeb answers 10 questions

Don't get me wrong, it is a good read, but sometimes it can lack substance and for that price I want it to be jam packed. It is one of the more expensive weekly publications and you could get just a good read out of Star magazine, which only costs £1

Summary: feel the heat
