Crazy but I like it (Heat Magazine)
Member Name: jesperado
Advantages: Amusing Disadvantages: Bitchy as hell Yes, I know it is trash, but I like Heat magazine. It's mostly the bad outfits that I enjoy, not because I am into fashion just because it never fails to amuse me how far removed from reality some celebrities' perceptions are. Although I try to fight against it, there is a big part of me that loves gossip. I've found that Heat satisfies the bitchy, tongue-wagging harridan inside me without me having to be nasty about anyone out loud. Obviously a lot of it is scurrilous hearsay and conjecture, but it is fun nonetheless. As well as having lots of dubious exclusives and pictures of Cheryl Cole's collarbone, it also has a TV guide which is quite handy and reviews of new albums and films. The magazine is obsessed with size zero models and actresses, simultaneously championing 6 stone Olsen twins every time one of them puts on a pound and patting formerly hefty soap actresses on the back for slimming down to the size of a lollipop. It's really quite deranged, but incredibly addictive. Summary: Just don't take it seriously and you'll enjoy it |
