A Guilty Pleasure
Member Name: Loubielou22
Advantages: Great for Celebrity gossip
Disadvantages: Standard Format which rarely changes - but if it ain't broke then why try and fix it?.
I confess, I am an avid Heat Reader.
I revel in the tales of Celebrity woes and joys and find myself flicking the pages eager to know more about the Celebrity culture and it's victims. I gasp with Shock at the multitude of weight obsessed pictures and accompanying stories which range from who is a super skinny and who is now sadly perceived as piling on the pounds.
Without wanting to appear arrogant, I truly believed that I would be immune to the Celebrity gossip mags but alas, this wasn't so. I find myself so engrossed in Celeb - land that I seek out Heat like a guilty pleasure.
The magazine for me is the alternative to a good night spent downing shots with girlfriends and gossiping about everything and anything, I used to read More magazine as a Teen so I guess the writing was already on the metaphorical wall so to speak.
Heat does what it says on the tin, it's a plethora of Celeb Tittle Tattle which is a light read that engages the reader for at least 10 minutes. Taken at face value Heat will never be a contender for any prestigious writing awards but does seem to fill a void.
In Essence the magazine is Celebrity driven and mainly focuses upon the Celebrity lifestyle, with fashion and beauty tips added in.
Summary: Celeb gossip and pics a plenty
