Advantages: Keeps you up to date on all the latest gossip and fashion !

Disadvantages: TV guide could be a bit more informative

The Heat magazine is one that I really loved to buy on a regular basis, but due to trying to cut back on things that are not really that important in life I stopped buying it for the last couple of months.

Well much to my delight it was being sold as a double issue with Closer magazine for £1.99 " Yippee " I felt like a kid again buying my favourite comic when I had my pocket money. It's not that I'm poor or anything like that , but spending £1.65 every week on a magazine that sometimes I don't even get time to read seems a waste of money.

The front cover of Heat is always full of eyecatching headlines with this particular having ones like ....."Whats is that in your pants Lady GaGa "
that looks worth a read just to find out what is !! then of course it can't be a magazine if it hasn't got Jordan on the front be it her slagging Pete
or him slagging her off. Well this week it's Petes turn saying ...." I hate to see the kids looking scared " with a photo of Jordan with little Junior clutching tight onto his mums leg. I do feel so sorry for these little kiddies
not knowing what on earth is going on in their little lifes! and finally it is refreshing to see some healthy looking girls on the front with the headline " Curvy Girls bikini special".

Heat mag consists of 133 pages of glossy colour pictures of many different celebrities, I would usually give a quick rundown of the contents page to give you an idea what to expect inside , but this mags has so many it would take forever. In total 39 different titles, so I will tell you about my favourite ones:

~~~ Look of the Week~~~

This shows you a certain piece of clothing that is making a comeback and who has been seen wearing it that week and how to get the look for yourself on a much smaller budget. This week being the "Plaid Shirt"
thats good as I've got one that I haven't worn since I got it last time around!!

~~~This Weeks Best Dressed~~~

Showing some celebrities on a day out wearing their posh clothes, although I think some of them look awful and quite scruffy. I suppose they are only human after all.

~~~Hoop of HORROR~~~

This is great as it captures pictures of celebs not looking to great, be it drunk or with sweat patches under their armpits which then they put a large red hoop around the offending mark or face !

~~~SPOTTED~~~

This is my favourite of all as I love being able to read where celebs have been seen eating, drinking, shopping or having an argument. If you manage to catch a celeb on camera and your pic gets printed you will recieve £200 and be entered for a best pic comp and could win a super dooper camera phone.

~~~Where Are They Now?~~~

I'm not sure if this is a regular feature ( as I said before I haven't got this mag for a few months!) but this looks up has beens and tells you what they are up to now. This is quite interesting to see what they are doing.
This feature also shows you pictures of what 6 of them look like now for you to guess who they are!

~~~StarStyle~~~

This has several pages showing how to put outfits together like the celebs, with a couple of pages of make-up tips and what make-up to buy to achieve that look. On another page in this section it will pick out 1 item and show you several that are available in the High Street, with this issue being Mackintosh's.

~~~Heat TV~~~

Heat TV covers a wide range of different topics from top 10:
Programmes on TV, Films, Music Tracks, Books, DVD's. Also with great reviews with what they call The Big Album, Read, TV on DVD. It also has a small feature on a celeb talking about their favourite TV watching.
This mag does have a TV guide, but I wouldn't say it was the best in the world as it is quite short and basic. It does Mon-Fri on the usual 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 channels, followed by a small selection of Digital TV for the week.

There is a Horoscope which has a picture of a celeb on each of the star signs telling you what day their birthday is on ( I suppose it's in case you want to send them a card!!). Also a celeb crossword to fill in.

On the last page there is a feature called " 10 Questions We Ask Everyone " this picks a different celeb every week and always has the same 10 questions. I suppose I needn't have explained that as the title does it already!!

Apart from what I have written about, there is a lot more inside this mag with lots of gossip pages and pictures about different fashion, hair and make-up ideas. Competitions to win free tickets for different venues ect..
They have quotes from different from people saying sometimes some of the most stupid things and also what a certain celeb might eat for breakfast, dinner ect...

Well I must say that I have enjoyed sitting through a copy of Heat mag and will buy it from time to time, but I have also discovered that you can go to www.heatworld.com and read and watch videos of some of the stories( thats not good news as I spend to much time on my laptop as it is on Dooyoo!). I've just sat and watched Lady GaGa and it does look like she does have a willy after all!!!!!

Summary: Nice to sit down or sunbath with Heat for a great read !!
